I studied biology at the University of South Florida. Soon after, I attained my Master's in biology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduate school, I participated in a teaching program that focused on bringing real-life science into the classroom. While doing my teaching fellowship, I realized how much I love teaching science to students! I currently have 10 years teaching experience in the following areas; General Science, Earth Science, Biology, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, and IB Biology. I am very familiar with the curriculum and pacing of the current science courses. I am also AP certified and IB trained.

Through my experience over the years, I have learned that each student has a different learning style. As a tutor and teacher, I understand that it is essential to meet students where they are at and adjust to their needs. One of the biggest issues I notice is that many students struggle with science terminology. So, I focus a lot on making sure students understand important terms and applying those terms to larger concepts. I am confident that I can help students improve their grades in addition to instilling the confidence and motivation required to help them succeed.
