I am an early childhood education major. What aspired me to become an educator is because for one I love engaging with children and I enjoy teaching them new things every day. I want my students to go home telling their parents something they've learned in school. I enjoy reading and writing. I won best essays many times during my school years and have grown to help other students excel in their reading and writing. One of my favorite things to do is actually help my little cousins with their sight words and create fun ways to decode those words that they do not know that way they are able to read as soon as they open a book. One of my main goals is to help children become better readers and writers. I believe that reading is fundamental and is also important when it comes to becoming something major in life. I guess a little personal thing about me is that I am a mother to a one-year-old little boy. I also work with groups of students who are at the IEP level in order to help them better learn through small groups. Every child learns differently and I believe that with help and courage every child will do well.
