I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi and received my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have also completed a degree in Mental Health Counseling and I have continued to take courses in Psychology, Special Education, and Emotional Disorders. I am a lifelong learner who loves to read for both my career and for pleasure. Although I do plan to become a counselor one day, for now, I want to continue teaching, as it is my passion. I have been teaching in the field of special education for eleven years. I am a very big advocate for mental health and students with disabilities. I have always loved working with children and I plan to do so, even in counseling. I have been tutoring for several years. I began tutoring my students in my 6th grade Math inclusion class after school as a volunteer service because I saw that they were getting behind in their assignments and they needed more support in learning the skills and preparing for tests. As a tutor with Varsity Tutors, I look forward to meeting and working with many students.
