I am a graduate of the University of Oregon, where I received a Master of Arts in Philosophy. Upon graduation, I began teaching in early education and from there moved into quality control for media and broadcasting. Prior to pursuing a master's degree, I worked for over a decade in a dental office. However, it was during my time as a graduate student, when I was able to teach students in both the Philosophy and Religious Studies Departments, that I honed by skills in and love of teaching. I am skilled in the art of exegesis, breaking down complex ideas and systems of thought for accessibility and application. I believe all learners can achieve their academic goals and one of the ways to do so is practice, practice, practice. Tutoring is an avenue to encourage a learner to follow their passions, increase their understand, and follow their dreams. I am as passionate about supporting others in their educational ambitions as I am my own, and I hope to pass this passion along to the learners with whom I engage. When not tutoring, I enjoy hiking, practicing yoga, reading and playing Scrabble.
