Hi there! My name is Anne and I am an undergraduate student at Brown University double concentrating in cognitive science and public health.
I have experience as an ESL instructor through the Brown University Community Corps program and have freelance tutored for a variety of subjects. I have background in many subjects, including but not limited to: French, English, SAT prep, college admissions essay writing, algebra, and visual arts. I've attached my art portfolio here for any who are interested in seeing my work: https://annewang.myportfolio.com/
My number one goal as a tutor is to help mitigate barriers to access to educational resources and improve educational outcomes for all. I believe anything is achievable with hard work and am honored to have the opportunity to help students achieve their dreams and aspirations.
My favorite area to tutor is college admissions and application essays because I love how essays can tell a propelling story. I enjoy reading each student's personal statement regarding how far they've come in their personal journey. It is also an extremely gratifying experience to hear people get into their dream schools! Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the college application process or about the college experience in general! As a prospective college tour guide, I'd love to provide any insight and advice!
