I am a graduate of Culver-Stockton College, where I received my Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in vocal music. I am certified to teach K-12 vocal music in the state of Missouri. I am also a graduate of Western Illinois University, where I received my Master of Music degree with an emphasis in Choral Conducting.
I taught as a vocal music teacher for nine years in Missouri public schools, where I taught general music and choir classes at the middle school and high school levels. I also taught one year part-time vocal music in Germany at an international school in Bavaria.
My favorite part of teaching is seeing students' faces light up when they understand a new concept or find success in something in which they once struggled. It is a joy to teach! My favorite aspect of music to teach is vocal technique, especially singer's diction. I also enjoy helping students find success with the fundamentals of music theory and ear training.

I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and son. My hobbies include hiking, attending festivals, and cooking. I also like learning new things. After living in Germany for nearly four years, I learned to speak German relatively fluently.
