I am a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-medicine track. I was a tutor for two years at Intellichoice, a nonprofit dedicated to tutoring underprivileged kids in mathematics for free. I also served as Deputy Manager of the Colony, TX branch my second year at Intellichoice. Despite my experience tutoring in Mathematics levels K-12, I also thoroughly enjoy tutoring English subjects K-12. As someone who is also currently a student, I have gone through countless trial and errors to find different study methods that work for various types of students. Whether a slow learner or fast learner, visual, auditory, or tactile learner, I will ensure the way I tutor varies in accordance to learning style and comfortability of the student. Despite the pressure many students feel- including myself- about having perfect grades and test scores- I value learning over grades, and try to instill this in my students as well. I aspire to become a Pediatric Psychiatrist in the future and aim to promote awareness about mental health in communities that tend to stigmatize mental health. Outside of my education, I enjoy reading novels, dancing, and photography.
