I have a Bachelor's degree in English Education and Spanish Education from UW-Whitewater, but my passion for teaching started even before that. I loved school as a child, and it grew into a love for learning. My love for learning then transformed into a love for teaching, and I'm passionate about seeing others learn, helping them solve academic problems, and having students walk away with something they can use both inside and outside the classroom.

My personal teaching philosophy is that I like to have a dialogue with a student. I ask them what their problems are and give them some advice and then the student can respond based on that. For example, if a student is having trouble with an essay topic in a set of them, I would ask them if there's any of them that aligns a hobby or an interest, or something they've heard about. If they needed me too I would break down what a question was saying or what needed to be answered. Sometimes I would ask questions based on what the question is saying. The student would answer based on that and I would guide them based on their answers.

Previously, I have tutored high school students at Catholic Memorial High School in both English and Spanish as an in-school tutor. In addition to teaching in different field experiences for my degree, I briefly taught English as a second language in Costa Rica. Currently, I am an English and career writing tutor online where I teach at any level, but my specialty is high school and adults (college).

I also taught English as a Second Language to adults at Literacy Services of Wisconsin and I taught as a tutor in Elkhorn High School. My subjects here are English and different types of writing, including essay editing. My specialties and favorite subjects are writing and grammar. I really enjoy the mechanics and rules of grammar, and since I've just always liked to write the two go together.


I am not currently available for tutoring but should be available later on even though I do not currently know the date. I will update my available as soon as I am available and know when, so those looking to tutor with me should check back.
