About Me

I have a PhD in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. I have taught for more than 20 years, including 10 years in an online learning environment. I have worked with elementary school through college age students in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings. I love teaching the core subjects of Social Studies, History, Government and Politics, and English. And I enjoying sharing my enthusiasm with the students I tutor. My approach to teaching and tutoring centers on active engagement and interactive learning. I firmly believe that no subject is too difficult to learn when students are encouraged and treated with both patience and respect.
