I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. In 2012, I completed graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, with a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics.
I am now growing my career as a scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Richmond, VA. I have tutored math and science for over a decade now and I love it! I have tutored elementary through high school levels of math and science including Physical Science, Earth Science, Biology, AP Bio, Chemistry, pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calc, and Trigonometry. I have also helped students with standardized testing such as state tests (SOL), PSAT, and SAT math.
I would say that my favorite subject is Algebra! I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to focus on a student and communicate the topic to them in a way that is hard to achieve with so many students in a classroom. It is so rewarding to me to see when students "get" it and math is made that much easier for them.

I love being outside! I run and do triathlons with my friends. Sometimes I hike and camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
