Hi! My name is Sujit and I am a senior studying Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University! I believe knowledge and desire to learn, especially outside of school, is an incredibly powerful thing so I applaud you for coming onto the site to find more resources to reach your goals!
When I was a kid, I HATED math. I didn't like math because it just never made sense to me, I would leave math class more confused than when I started! Because of this, everyday after school, I would sit with my dad and he would sit with me for hours just reviewing practice questions and working through workbooks. Before I knew it, I was doing math at a much more advanced level than my classmates! This is what made me realize how important hard work and having a good mentor was. I thought I would spend the rest of my life dreading math, but funny enough, math is now my favorite subject!
My dad's mentorship and his drive to help me learn is what inspired me to tutor. At school, I am part of a STEM program in which we get elementary students excited for STEM. Additionally, during the peak of the pandemic, I tutored my brother and his friends in SAT and ACT concepts and they all ended up scoring incredibly well! I also tutored my friend in college statistics so that he could graduate!
Seeing my dad want me to succeed so badly, as well as these experiences in which I've had the incredible opportunity to help other succeed is what drives me to continue this mission. As a tutor, I want nothing more than to see you succeed! I ensure that I will be a resource to you at all times, including outside of tutoring hours! With drive, hard work, determination, and a little fun, I know that we can watch you succeed and reach new academic heights!!
