I received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Michigan with specializations in math and science and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Walden University. Over the last two decades, I have taught a variety of ages ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade here in the states. I also taught high school ESL students in Japan for one year.
Recently, I have homeschooled elementary aged students, led a learning pod comprised of Kindergartners and 4th graders, and held English conversation classes with young Japanese scholars. I tutored young readers in foundational skills and intervention strategies and led summer reading camps for Pre K and elementary students.
My passion for teaching started young as I would help to teach and care for younger siblings as a child. I have dedicated my life to child care and education. When I'm not teaching or taking care of children, I love to hike, swim, travel, and play games with friends.
Reading, healthy eating, yoga, hiking, camping, game nights, movies, and sitting on the beach.
