I'm a graduate of Macalester College and Washington University in St. Louis. I studied political rhetoric in undergrad and business and public health in grad school. I taught middle school writing and speaking classes in South Korea as well as held a range of positions from an investment bank to healthcare organizations. My past students tended to see the most improvement by understanding writing concepts and applying them in memorable ways. I believe in clarifying academic concepts, restating them in different ways, and finding personal applications wherever life may take the student. My hobbies include cooking, hiking, and caring for indoor plants.
