I am a graduate of the University of Khartoum Sudan, I received my Bachelors of Science with focus in Agric. Economics and a higher Diploma in Development and Economic Planning. The University of Khartoum in Sudan is an internationally accredited university, then I had a diploma in Computer Skills and Professional Development from Sanz School in Washington DC 1996.
I am passionate about helping the students succeed in Mathematics, because my passion inspires students, and they will be interested and excited about learning Mathematics and decide to study more.
I started to tutor Calculus to the Federal government employees who come to the USDA Graduate school to have a short course while I was a classmate with them coming from Howard university to take the Calculus class as a prerequisite form my Master's degree, when the professor asked everyone in the class to introduce him/herself and tell about his/her background about Calculus, then he asked who can solve the problem on the board. I am always the one who solved long Calculus problems, and the following week, five of the employees asked me to tutor them. I start having some students from my Sudanese community and some students from the elementary, middle and high schools that are closer to my house, I have traveled extensively, tutoring children of immigrants in Virginia, then hired at Mathnasium while still privately tutoring online, and most of my students were selected and joined the Advanced Academic Programs at their schools and my precious son is one of them and he skipped the 7th grade.
I tutor a broad range of Mathematics branches for elementary, middle and high schools and my favorites are Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Statistics, Pre-calculus, Calculus, Geometry and Trigonometry. I master all of these branches of Mathematics and I love all of them.
My teaching philosophy is to provide learning opportunities that allow the students to be involved in activities that let them understand mathematics communication, problem solving, and reasoning connection, with those activities the students will explore and understand the mathematics on their own and they will realize that Math is all around us and not isolated in the classroom.
