About Me

As a later-in-life, B.A. in English graduate of Towson University near Baltimore, Maryland, I have fresh academic performance combined with real-life perspectives that produce a dynamic and challenging tutoring experience for my students. I am patient yet persistent, kind but firm, encouraging yet challenging with my students. My 25+ years of experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching, and lifelong learning for myself, has developed in me a passion for helping others achieve their learning goals. I'm also a professional editor and writer, which has given me a unique perspective to offer students interested in improving their language and literacy skills. I've coached dozens of authors, edited over 300,000 words, helped publish 8 books, and written scores of articles, blogs, and trainings. I'm also certified in TESOL, have obtained an advanced degree in leadership, and am currently pursuing life coaching certification. Above all, at the core of who I am, is the lady next door who wants to help people learn from where they're living; I will meet you where you are in your learning journey, and we'll take the next steps together.
