I am a long-term substitute teacher from New York City. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University with a major in Drama and a minor in Social and Cultural Analysis. I began substitute teaching and tutoring in 2018. Throughout my time in New York City, I have taught students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. I have experience assisting students with elementary school English, math, reading, and test prep. My outgoing personality and training as an actor allow me to work well with students, be flexible, and engaged. My experience as a tutor consist of reading, writing, elementary math, and algebra 1.
I love to watch students discover and learn new things. I can connect with students from all different backgrounds with different abilities and interests. Being an artist allows me to be flexible and innovative. I approach tutoring and teaching with the mindset that a student has as much to teach me as I do to teach them.
