About Me

I got my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Physics. I obtained my Master of Science degree at the University of Iowa. I have been studying Mathematics for most of my adult life so far, and my passion shows when I teach. I have tutored during most of my higher education, usually in an open walk-in setting like a Math Lab, as well as some individual instances. I have taught Mathematics in a few settings such as Peer-Led Team Learning and Teaching Assistant, as well as leading test prep sessions for the Mathematics portion of the GRE exam for my fellow McNair Scholars students. As a Teaching Assistant in Iowa, I taught various discussion sections of 20-30 students in various Mathematics courses such as Pre-Calculus and Calculus and for various disciplines like Business and Engineering. My goal in life is to teach at the University level. My goal when I teach is to make students love Math a little more than they did before we met. I love to help with Calculus the most, but I have experience with other topics thanks to the open tutoring centers I have worked at. Besides Mathematics and education, I love to spend my free time playing video games; RPGs are my favorite!
