I help English language learners successfully bridge the gap between where they are at and where they want to be in reading, writing, listening and speaking English.
I have been an ESL teacher overseas in Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan for 13 years and I have worked with students from Pre-K to adult. I also speak Spanish and Korean, and am learning Mandarin Chinese. I have a deep cultural and historical understanding of diverse Asian and Latin American countries and that informs my approach as a teacher.
I have a Bachelor's degree from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, am a certified ESL instructor, and received my Teacher certification in 2020.
I have a diverse work background that helps me be able to help people in almost any field learn to communicate better. I have been a TOEFL test prep instructor, taught literature and essay writing to ESL students, been a judge at multiple English speech competitions, helped to train teachers in classroom management, been a public speaker, an entrepreneur, film maker, photojournalist, carpenter, manager, and life coach.
