I graduated from the University of Florida with a BHS, the University of Indianapolis with an MHS, and Nova Southeastern with a PhD. All my degrees are in Occupational Therapy. I have been teaching occupational therapy students for 21 years at the masters level and for the last 6 years at the doctorate level. More recently I have taught PhD level physical therapists and speech therapists. Besides occupational therapy content I have skills to teach leadership, scholarly writing, capstone projects, program development, grant proposals, theses, dissertations, and research methods. I am most passionate about teaching qualitative research methods and writing for publication.
I've always enjoyed teaching and helping students progress. I've grown to understand how important it is for me to understand a student's current level and/or perspective so I can move them forward. Their success is my reward.

I am interested in healthy living and all the factors that contribute to health. I stay mentally and physically active. I most like exercising outdoors by either walking or swimming but use the gym in inclement weather. Nutrition is also important and more recently I'm trying different types of spices. I am very interested in organizations that care for animals. I own an adopted cat or maybe she owns me.
