I am a graduate of Mary Baldwin College. I have over 10 years experience working with students including teaching and counseling in a group home as well as working in a public school setting. After working with students with emotional disabilities in several group homes, I worked for 2 years as an Education Support Specialist and worked with struggling students of all ages. My passion for education and working with children led to my job as a 4th grade teacher, which I spent 4 years teaching in person, and taught virtually last year. I believe in a child-centered approach which benefits the students by giving them a safe environment where they can learn and feel respected. I enjoy getting to know the students I work with in order to make my lessons more individualized and engaging.
