I have a degree in education majoring in English and Chemistry. I am a Florida certified teacher in 3 subjects: Chemistry 6 - 12, Mathematics 6 - 12 and General Science 5 - 9. I have a over 20 year tutoring experience. I have been working for varsity tutors for 4 years. During that time I have helped several students pass their FTCE (3 students in math portion of the general knowledge test, 1 student in math part of k - 6 grade test and 2 student in essay part of the general knowledge test), 2 students to pass their college course and many students to improve their grades in math courses of grade school including those that received an A. Over the pass summer I have working with a few students needing help in the math part of SAT. I can break the SAT questions into smaller tasks. I know what questions to ask to elicit the information that I look for from the students and thus guide them through the problem solving. I provided those students with the guide lines for not taking in different math topics to make sure they are equipped with the important facts needed to answer the SAT questions. If needed, I have the ability to create similar questions that you can see on SAT including answer choices. In the last year I have also helped students preparing for the ISEE test with mathematical achievement and quantitative reasoning. I know what topics are being tested what the questions look like and again if needed I can write similar questions.
