I am currently a student at the North Carolina State University in Raleigh. I am working on receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Statistics and Mathematics. Most of my tutoring experience begins in high school when I was a member of the Mu Alpha Theta math club. In my first two years, I had the opportunity to tutor my fellow classmates and students requiring help in nearly all math subjects. In my final two years, I was able to provide free math tutoring and assistance to students coming from low-income households. I also provided free tutoring assistance to the C.R.O.P. educational program at the Hindu Center in Charlotte. My tutoring will be focused on lower-level math, including Elementary and Middle School Math, as well as Algebra I. My approach to tutoring is using practice problems to reinforce the material. Understanding concepts and topics help familiarize the students with the material but doing practice problems will help the student master the material. I am a firm proponent of the idea that proper education and learning are a necessity in life, and with the correct foundation, students can propel themselves to new heights.
