Teaching has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. When I was little, I wanted to be like my mom, a teacher, and would teach my little brother all the things I was learning. When I was 5 years old, I discovered another passion--flute playing--and am still loving it 20 years and a Bachelor's degree later. Combining these two loves has brought me so much joy. My heart sings every time I see a spark of excitement in a student towards a concept that previously seemed impossible. I am an active learner, and enjoyed my french minor, my Suzuki teaching training, and teaching myself how to improvise in jazz music. My goal is to teach in a way that inspires on-going learning, personal connection, and satisfaction with progress.
