My name is Donna Stallings and I was raised in Detroit, MI. I was the second person in my family to attend college and later graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree from Lincoln University in Mathematics Education. I always wanted to be a mathematics teacher and was often teased in school for my love of math and interest in teaching.
I have had wonderful experiences teaching junior high, dual credit college courses, helping students in afterschool programs and most recently as a mathematics professor. I love mathematics but more so I enjoy helping others see the value of math and how it connects to other areas of their lives. We don't all learn the same and while I love science and exploration fields, I struggled in school with reading comprehension. Learning to overcome my reading comprehension problems helped me as a teacher to understand math anxiety and develop ways to help my students overcome their own weaknesses.
Undergraduate Degree: Lincoln University MO - Bachelor of Science, Mathematics Teacher Education

My greatest hobby is spending time with my four children. I love coming up with weird things to do. I just love to make them think. I love all things outdoors...especially gardening. I am a volleyball and basketball coach and think I just have a gift of encouragement no matter what you want to do I want to encourage you to do it well.
