I am currently a student at George Mason University with a major in English Writing and Rhetoric and a minor in Chemistry. As an honors student, I have always had a role in tutoring those around me. My goal is to bring my own joy of learning to those I work with. I believe that students learn the best when they enjoy the material and the manner in which it is taught, and so that is my primary focus when teaching. My favorite subjects, then, are English (Literature, Linguistics and Creative Writing), Chemistry, and Algebra. As a recent high school graduate, I also am very familiar with the Standardized Tests (HSPT, SAT, and AP tests especially) that a student might need help with. My primary focus when teaching is the confidence and comfort of my students, as those factors play a very large part in the success of the student. Content must be enjoyed in order for it to stick. Aside from schooling, I enjoy painting, gardening, roller blading, ice hockey, and reading.

I keep a lot of plants and have a small garden of herbs (things like lavender, lemon balm, and mint) that I make into tea blends for myself. I like to paint (my primary medium is watercolor) and play video games. I am an avid reader and writer, a competitive archer, an ice hockey player, and occasionally I rollerblade as well.
