I graduated with honors from Macalester College in 2019, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Religious Studies. I completed an honors thesis in Religious Studies, titled "Meditation and Mystics: Contemplative Practices in the Twin Cities."
Since graduating, I taught workshops on film, podcasting, and personal finance at Project Success, a non-profit that offers programming to Minneapolis High School students. I have several years of experience as an elementary school volunteer reading tutor, and love helping students of all ages craft and edit writing for clarity and persuasiveness. I enjoy working through each step of the writing process and supporting students as they figure out what they have to say and how to say it. I believe that the writing process can be a meaningful part of finding our voice. While I tutor a range of subjects, I'm most passionate about the Humanities, particularly Literature and Religion & Philosophy. I plan to pursue graduate work in Religious Studies in the fall of 2021.
