I am an experienced teacher with a PhD in physics, earned by studying conducting polymers and dinosaur bones with lasers. During my studies, I have been privileged to lecture at a university, guide students through hands-on labs, facilitate group work, and provide personalized, in-home tutoring. I've also taught virtual courses since the start of COVID-19. I am excited to teach students how to attack difficult problems with math, so that the student can be confident using math techniques on a variety of problems. Generally speaking, students usually find themselves suddenly more able to solve completely new problems after just a few sessions, since they learn approaches more than rote, memorized methods. The moment they realize how much they've learned is always an exciting one!
