I am a graduate of Florida International University. I have a PhD in Nursing Research. My dissertation was focused on health care transition (from peds to adult) in children and youth with special health care needs. I am passionate about nursing, at the bedside and beyond. Currently, I am professor of nursing, working at a private university here in Miami, FL. I hold a license to practice a Registered Nurse and also as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse under the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. Additionally, I am very passionate about reading and writing (including thesis and dissertation writing).
