My passion for the French language and culture began when I was 14 years old and attended French camp through Concordia Language Villages. I studied French all through high school and college and lived in France my junior year with a large French family where I studied at the University of Nantes and through IES Abroad. After graduating from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts in French, and later with a Master of Arts in Education from Saint Catherine University, I have shared my knowledge and passion for the language and culture with students in grades K-12, including adult learners. I strive to meet individual students where they are and focus on their goals. I enjoy interacting with my students and offering a variety of learning experiences to build skills and proficiency. I focus on all areas of French literacy including speaking, listening and comprehension, reading, writing and viewing so my students can communicate with others in numerous ways.
