I am a K-12 ESOL and 6-12 English certified teacher. I have worked with students for the past 8 years across different states and countries.

I majored in Japanese at Dartmouth College with a minor in Spanish. I really love languages! I went on to get my Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at SUNY Albany.

I am passionate about all learning, which is why my tutoring range is broad. My expertise happens to lie in English and ESL and anything associated with these subjects (writing, grammar, etc). I also love tutoring in my other languages like low level Spanish and Japanese.

I've worked with all ages and find that each one has their own unique strengths that appeal to me as a teacher.

I love working closely with students as I can adjust my teaching to fit their needs and interests. My philosophy on teaching is that you will learn a lot more if you have an element of fun or a game involved. I rarely advocate for rote memorization and prefer to focus on finding innovate ways to teach topics.
