I am a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and a concentration in Italian. While in college, I volunteered to tutor Elementary school students in English (specifically reading/speaking) and Italian students preparing for a study abroad semester in Ticino, Switzerland. Although I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about English as a second language because in all my years studying foreign languages, I've come to appreciate how difficult English is to learn for those who did not learn it as their primary language. I love to learn, I am constantly looking to try a new experience or learn a new subject, and I aim to bring this zest for education to my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, and jigsaw puzzles.

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, paint by numbers and crossword puzzles. I also sing in a community choir and enjoy taking long walks with my family. When I read for pleasure, I like to read historical fiction novels in both Italian and English.
