I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019. I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science with a minor in Spanish Literature, Linguistics, and Culture. I am planning to pursue a Master of Science in Epidemiology this fall. I received a Fulbright award to research pediatric healthcare systems in Argentina after graduation, and I honed my Spanish skills there! I have had many different teaching experiences in my career. Some of my favorites have been developing and running activities for a science club for elementary schoolers at summer camp and teaching a weekly anatomy and physiology lab in college, but I have also tutored in after-school programs and worked as a substitute teacher. My favorite subjects to tutor are science, writing, and Spanish. One thing I used to tell my anatomy students is that I can't memorize information for you, but I can help you learn to study it in a way that works for you. I firmly believe in personalized education and love finding examples and material that draws on students' passions and engages them in the work. In my spare time, I like to armchair coach the Pittsburgh Steelers, watch soapy TV medical dramas, and prepare for an alternate career as a reality baking show competitor.
