I am a passionate educator with 8 years of experience working in public schools in New York City and abroad. I received my Master's of Education in Bilingual Childhood Education, and am currently working on my 2nd Master's in School Counseling.
I have taught in elementary bilingual classrooms, with students of varied grades, language proficiency levels, and abilities. This has driven me to find creative solutions to meet the needs of every student. I develop and implement curriculum (in both Spanish and English) through engaging activities, nurturing critical thinking skills, and adapting concepts to student's diverse learning styles.
I believe learners who are pushed to become independent, critical, and socially conscious thinkers, will take ownership and pride of their learning, becoming change agents and role models in their communities. I am deeply committed to providing the highest levels of academic and behavioral support to each of my students, and strive to ensure that each student is on track to graduate from high school, continue to college, and pursue fulfilling careers.
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about College Access, Spanish, Math, and Literacy.
