About Me

I want to empower you to reach your highest potential! There's nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my students succeed. I tutor all subjects for K-8 as well as English and social studies at the high school level. My career in education spans 11 years and 3 countries. I have instructed students of all different ages and backgrounds. I worked with first-generation, immigrant, and refugee middle school students in the US for four years. I then taught young adults in Southeast Asia for 7 years. My students describe me as a caring, dedicated, and patient teacher who is skilled at explaining difficult concepts in a way that they can understand. One of my specialties is English and ESL, as I have worked extensively with English language learners for my entire career and have a TEFL certification. I've helped hundreds of students prepare for IELTS and other Cambridge English examinations. I also love exploring literature with students and encouraging their creativity through writing. My other passion is social studies and social sciences. I have a Bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California and taught the following classes abroad at the college prep/university level: American History, World History, International Relations, Political Science, Intro to Economics, Global Issues, and Environmental Issues.
