I am a software engineer with both academic and professional expertise. I have graduated with a masters degree in computer science in 2019 from ECU and have an undergraduate degree from Marshall University.
I have over 5 years of teaching experience, with 4 being as a university tutor and 1 being as a graduate teaching assistant for computer science courses such as Java, python, web development, database management, algorithms, data structures etc.
I can tutor a wide range of courses in computer science including programming related courses and all database topics.
My teaching style is very hands on. I believe students will get the theory in class from their professors/ teachers. I want to focus on hands on learning and eventually taper off so that the student can perform these tasks independently.
I have both academic and professional experience so I understand the skills that are critical for students should develop to be successful in both the classroom and eventually in the workplace!
