About Me

I am a graduate of Boston College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Development. I also hold a Masters of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration. Since graduation in 2018, I have worked extensively with high school students in pre-college programs and college students who attend both 2-year and 4-year institutions. I am committed to ensuring that all students have access to a high quality education. I am also committed to ensuring that all students have supports in place to help them persist and graduate from high school and college. One way I do this is by supporting high school students in their college application process (e.g. college essay). Once students are in college I continue to provide this support by ensuring that students have the proper tools to succeed (e.g. proper study habits, effective writing tools, ways to navigate college). I am most passionate about English, Reading and Writing. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their college essay or write a paper for class, I find joy whenever students make breakthroughs in their papers and can successfully identify areas of improvement (e.g. grammatical errors or areas where their paper needs to be strengthened). I am a firm proponent of meeting students where they are at and adapting my tutoring style to meet students needs and learning styles.
