I graduated from the University of Tampa (UT) with a BA in History in the Global History and Culture concentration, a minor in Business Administration, and a Certificate in International Studies (CIS). During my time at UT, I supported first-generation and/or underrepresented students in adjusting to college life as a Student Peer Educating About Resources (SPEAR) Mentor with the Success Scholars Program for about two years and coordinated events about life after college (like personal finance, car management, etc) as the Adulting 101 Coordinator for the Success Scholars Program for about three semesters. My role as a SPEAR Mentor and Adulting 101 Coordinator has changed how I previously viewed life in terms of mentorship and support. I learned that the more support we receive earlier in our lives, the better our outcomes will be in terms of schooling, professional development, and life fulfillment. I enjoy working with students to become a better version of themselves and helping them to achieve goals that make them feel fulfilled.

I am a firm believer that education can dramatically alter our lives for the better and can help us to achieve higher standards of living. I'm very passionate about teaching Study Skills, Organization, and English. I earned my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate with the International TEFL Academy in December 2020 and gained some experience teaching English for a few months with the Tampa Language Center (TLC) before going back to school in August 2021. My teaching philosophy is that every student is unique in how they learn the material and therefore should feel empowered in how they process the material. My role as the tutor is to evaluate each student's abilities and provide the necessary support to help each student reach a certain goal they wish to achieve.

I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies at the Florida State University (FSU). My professional goal is to become either a Museum Curator or some sort of specialist in Japanese Fashion History. In my spare time, I enjoy learning about personal finance, sewing, and reading.
