I am a recent graduate of Naropa University's MFA program in Theater: Contemporary Performance, and also hold a BA in Writing-Intensive English from Marquette University. Between my degree programs, I worked for more than five years as a professional journalist and copy editor. Currently, I'm providing editorial services and writing coaching to a colleague who is working on a memoir, and for whom English is a second language. During my MFA program I likewise gained experience lecturing and providing experiential workshops on Somatic movement topics. I'm a firm believer that muscle memory facilitates intellectual memory and will always remind students that moving their bodies while studying is a great way to lock in new information! My personal and academic passions span all forms of communication, from written composition and editing, to improvised and scripted stage performance. I look forward to helping students prepare for standardized tests, strengthen their skills as readers, and develop an authentic and studied voice in writing.
