I am a graduate of Brigham Young University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications Public Relations, with a Japanese minor. I grew up in Japan for half of my life, spending time getting to know Japanese relatives and learning about the culture. I also lived in Sapporo, Japan as a young adult service missionary and taught English classes to Japanese natives. Upon returning to the U.S. after my service mission, I taught Japanese to young adults preparing to live in Japan as service missionaries. Most of the young adults had no prior experience with learning Japanese. I have always enjoyed sharing with others, the love I have for the Japanese language and culture. I also have a great love for music and have learned under the guidance of professional concert violinists in Japan and the U.S. for over 14 years. With past tutoring experiences, I have watched my students progress quickly as I've tried my best to simplify seemingly-difficult concepts. I am a lifelong learner and believe there is power in knowledge. I really want to help everyone I can, to live a better life through learning. When I'm not tutoring, I love reading good books, walking my puppy at the park, going on fun dates with my husband, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and cooking new things.
