I am an incoming freshman headed to Stanford after a gap year. In terms of tutoring experience, I've volunteered as a teacher's assistant during my summers with local programs to prevent learning loss in underprivileged communities. I also worked as a peer tutor for three years in high school and helped coordinate the program in my senior year. I believe deeply in the power of education and learning as a pathway not only to success, but a broader mindset. By helping students over whatever roadblocks they might be experiencing, I hope to help them develop confidence in their ability to figure things out and a love of the learning process, even if the subject matter is not their forte. I tutor wide variety of subjects, including math and science APs, though I am most passionate about English and Essay Writing, including college essays. Having recently gone through the process of applying for selective colleges, I have firsthand experience in both the struggles of crafting a well-written essay and how to help in a way that results in a polished essay without erasing your personal voice.

I'm an intended English major, so I love to read and write, whether it's essays, fiction, plays, or poetry. I'm also an avid singer (much to my family's chagrin), theatre nerd, runner, and birdwatcher in my free time.
