I am rising Junior at Princeton University, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology. I am hoping to attend medical school when my undergraduate years come to a close. I have several years of tutoring experience, ranging from adult literacy courses for elderly refugees, to standard academic tutoring for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. I typically teach SAT prep (including subject tests), ACT prep, chemistry (up to ochem), biology (up to cell/developmental), mathematics (up to college calculus), Spanish, English vocabulary, and writing (academic and creative). My personal teaching philosophy involves rigor and accountability, but I always make sure that my students feel comfortable with the pace of learning. I try to foster a culture of kindness and honesty during my sessions so that students don't feel like they have to hide any discomfort or confusion about a certain topic. Apart from my academics, I love to sing in my a cappella group at Princeton and contribute to ongoing research in the medical field.

Hobbies

As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, music has always been my closest ally and friend. I sang for a jazz band in high school, I'm the president of my a cappella group at Princeton, and I even street perform from time to time. I also write screenplays in my spare time, and many of them have been turned into short films. I have been lucky enough to see these films screened in various domestic and international film festivals. Finally, research has been a huge part of my life during the past several months. My desire is to explore areas of human health that are sometimes overlooked by the scientific community, like infertility in women and transgender development.
