I am a passionate teacher who has a true love and understanding of mathematics. In my time teaching, I have learned to break difficult concepts of math down to the essential portions and enthusiastically communicate them to students. This way, students have a better opportunity to understand and appreciate the methods behind solving problems. I believe all students are capable of learning math, but the key is to teach them in an accessible manner.

I excel in being able to monitor student progress. My adaptable nature and ability to differentiate instruction both come from my experience in the classroom. The experience of teaching accelerated classes, scaffolding classes, and on-grade level classes has given me strategies to help all groups of students, most of which stem from adequate planning and preparation of lessons. I am skilled in keeping accurate records and communicating observations of those records with parents to benefit students. I believe parents should always be updated with the progress of their student so they can celebrate growth and encourage perseverance in challenging areas.

I do my best to encourage students, always reminding them that they are capable of understanding any concept. Building positive relationships with students while presenting differentiated instruction, along with giving students responsibility for their learning has helped me to become a successful teacher with many students reaching understanding and positive images of themselves. With my experience, passion, and credentials I am excited and prepared to be your child's tutor.
