I am a rising sophomore at Davidson College, a liberal arts college in North Carolina. I plan to major in political science with a double minor in both French and Spanish.
Growing up in Annapolis, Maryland, I enjoyed learning as well as teaching and mentoring others. In high school, I worked as a swim coach and also tutored immigrant schoolchildren at Centro de Ayuda, a nonprofit that helps people working toward citizenship. At Davidson, I currently work with GenOne, where I mentor eighth-graders who hope to become first-generation college students.
I am an experienced writer, having worked for the Davidsonian, and possess a strong understanding of investment and personal finance. I currently serve as one of the three sectors heads of Davidson's Investment and Finance Association, a club that manages a portion of the college endowment. This summer, I am working as an intern with the nonprofit Lonely Entrepreneur. In my free time, I play club soccer and piano, and I also swim competitively. I love the outdoors and active sports like surfing, skiing, hiking, and sailing.
