I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (minors in Biology and Creative Writing). I have an Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. I'm currently in graduate school to complete my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I have been working closely with individuals with special needs for the past 9 years, and my current professional job is working within a school system performing Occupational Therapy. I assist student ages 5-25 with handwriting, problem solving, life skills, executive functioning, job skills, study skills, etc.

My tutoring experience began back when I was in high school by helping tutor local elementary students in the A Plus program. In college I also assisted with study groups and tutoring students younger than me. I have the most experience working with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, but love to work with anyone who needs help. While I tutor in a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about Psychology, COTA/NBCOT exam, Essay Editing, and Study Skills. I'm currently working on my TEFL certification to open more doors for students.

My tutoring philosophy is to help the student identify their goals, meet the student where they are at, and then guide them into being as independent and successful as possible. I like to use visuals and games as a study tool. I want to show students that learning is fun! In my spare time I can be found walking my dogs, reading a book, trying a new yoga workout, or catching up on my Netflix watch list.
