My name is Jasmine and I am a flight attendant who loves learning almost as much as I love flying! When I am not in the sky, I have my head in a book, most likely some romantic era poetry or Afro-Am lit.
I graduated from UCLA with B.A. in African American Literature and English. A majority of the courses and subject matter I've dealt with involved African American authors, however, my initial literature foundation is deeply rooted in English literature (Middle Ages, 16th and early 17th century, the restoration and romantic periods). I am obsessed with everything from Beowulf to Keats and W.E.B. Du Bois to Ta-Nehisi Coats. As well as a few LGBTQ authors and literature sprinkled in between.
After UCLA I began working in local politics in San Francisco and continued my political and public policy education at the University if San Francisco, where I received my masters in Public Affairs.
When I am not reading and writing I am traveling! I love going on long runs in different cities and enjoy the local cuisine! I especially enjoy visiting unconventional cities like Omaha, Nebraska as much as I do Guatemala or Paris.
