Hi there, my name is Sam and I'm currently a junior data analyst working for a major healthcare system in the DMV area. Before working as a data analyst, I attended University of illinois - Urbana Champaign and graduated with a BS in statistics. During my undergrad years, I've completed rigorous math & stats classes, including Calc I - III, Differential Equation, Linear lgebra, Numbers Theory, Probability & Statistics I-II. I've also learned statistical languages like R, SAS. python, and SQL. After undergrad, I've decided to come to the nation's capital to pursue my Masters in Quantitive Analysis from American University. I did my academic research in Genotyping the Polyploids, which specialized in Variational Bayesian research. During my grad years, I've developed my passion for tutoring. I tutored at the math department of AU and was received positively by the students and the professors. I genuinely enjoy explaining seemingly incomprehensible subject and making them susceptible to average people.
In everyday life, I'm extroverted, friendly, and I love sports, movies, and languages. Tutoring people is one of my biggest passions and I can't wait to meet you guys personally. Hopefully you guys can enjoy my sessions as well :).
