I do really enjoy teaching mathematics and am very eager to assume a new full time position. Throughout the years, my teaching philosophy has been to teach math in a way that math make sense. Philosophically the concept of learning mathematics is not merely going through series of formulas and manipulations but is a meaningful subject that completely make sense.
Most often students have issues with remembering different prerequisites with the subjects at hand. Working with each student individually to deal with those issues will help remedy to break the barriers going forward. So there are these gapes that are the main source of misunderstanding of mathematical concepts. When I worked at Mathnasium I leaned that students enjoy learning math, when they truly understand it as a meaningful subject.
