I am a 4th grade Special Education teacher who has a Bachelors in Psychology and Spanish. I am from Decatur, Il originally, but I moved and currently live in Nashville, Tennessee. I began my career as a K-8th Music teacher in Illinois. I moved back to Nashville and taught 8th grade Math at a charter school. I have taught students from pre-k to high school. I have tutored students from elementary through college in numerous subjects such as math, Spanish, social sciences, the arts, study skills and professional career development. I have tutored one on one, classroom settings, and at-home settings.
I have developed my expertise through working in various setting, and with student who have different intellectual levels. I am great with students who struggle to focus.
I have found my passion in teaching because I can help and give back. Working with students teaches them, but also teaches me. This enhances my life and purpose. We can learn together, and succeed. I believe that all students deserve to learn, and lesson that is catered to their needs and abilities. I encourage creativity and independence to take those skills throughout life.
I am a creator of art, so I make my sessions creative and active. I design each session to be hands-on, engaging, individualized, personal, and most importantly fun!
