I graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Math Education and from Arcadia University with a Master of Education with a concentration in Math. Since graduating with my bachelors degree 13 years ago, I have been teaching math in grades 9-12 in Philadelphia. I have taught all subjects of math from Pre-Algebra up to AP Calculus AB. In addition to teaching math, I have been the mathematics department chair at my school for the last six years. I tutored adults in math at a small two-year college for a few years. I believe that all students can learn math, no matter their background or levels. I believe that learning math is a big stepping stone for problem solving and critical thinking skills needed outside of school. Other than teaching, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family - especially my niece & nephews.
