I have years of experience working on writing for different audiences at the professional and graduate level, and would be thrilled to help you prepare for admissions tests and essays!
I went to undergrad at Georgetown University and did my grad work at the University of Chicago. I moved to Austin to work as an analyst writing for the House Research Organization, and have previous experience writing for federal and nonprofit interests. I have engaged in numerous professional and creative writing workshops for well over a decade, and can help you improve your writing for any audience, as well as any improvements you would want to make in verbal test scores or political science.
My teaching philosophy centers around the socratic method of asking questions to lead the student to their own realizations. I also am a big fan of finding ways to make the task at hand entertaining for the student.
Outside of Academia, I love to spend my free time playing with words writing poetry and playing the violin.
